What Makes a Great Handwriting Keepsake
2026-03-02
Handwriting keepsakes work best when the source image is clear, flat, and evenly lit. If you are photographing a note, place it on a plain surface and avoid shadows from overhead lighting. Dark ink on a light background is easiest to clean and prepare for engraving.
You do not need a perfect scan. What matters most is that the lettering is legible and complete. Recipes, signatures, prayer cards, and short notes all translate well into keepsake formats.
If the original note is damaged or folded, send what you have. A good design process should start with review, cleanup, and proofing before production begins.
